At Hounds Abound Playground, our goal is to provide a safe, loving, and educational dog daycare environment, where your dog can just be a dog...with proper supervision, of course!
We know that your dog is a beloved member of your family, and we treat them as a valued member of ours. Your dog's happiness, safety, and well-being are our utmost concern. Our staff aims to give individual attention to every dog over the course of the day, making sure that they're getting play and exercise time, working their manners and social skills, and ensuring lots of petting and snuggling too.
Owner Mary Kate Merchant has 25 + years of professional experience working with dogs, and a lifetime of educational experience with her own dogs' training. She has groomed dogs for five years, assisted in the opening of two other local daycares, and run her own mobile pet care service for three and a half years before opening Hounds Abound Playground. On a volunteer basis, she helped run a shelter for the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of the stray animals from the Caribbean island of St. Martin--not only cats and dogs but livestock, rabbits, goats and monkeys too.
